Chapter Three

Her week passed in a haze of laughter, desire, and downright hot and raunchy sex. “I don’t need my Pilates class anymore,” she’d told them, sated and boneless one pre-dawn morning. Her comment led to an explanation of Pilates and an insistence by the boys of a demonstration. Which, of course, led to another night of hot, steamy sex.

“It’s only stretching,” she said when breath became available. “How can you both get so worked up about stretching?”

Phillipe touched her face. “Eloisa, at one point you had your legs thrown over your head with that beautiful backside pointed in the air. How did you honestly think we were going to react?”

“Fair point. I guess now you know what Pilates is, you don’t need me to put on the other DVD.”

“Please.” Anton kissed the back of her neck. “I beg you to put on the other...DVD and stretch for us some more.”

Teaching her ghosts about technology was fast becoming one of Elly’s favorite things. Regency-born they may have been, but both were intelligent and soaked up information like a sponge.

“I’m sorry, I’ll be out all day,” she said over breakfast. “I have to go to Sally’s place for a series of teleconferences with clients.”

“We will miss you.” Anton put his face close to hers and placed one of those ghostly daytime kisses on her lips.

“Yes, we will,” Phillipe rubbed his cheek against hers, a fleeting hint of sensation. “If you do not return by moon’s rise, we will clean the dishes.”

“See? Now this is why I love you both.”

As she drove to Sally’s, she thought about that statement. Love. Her lovers. She did love them. In the last week, she’d found out more details of the curse and its effects. They couldn’t leave the confines of the cottage. The conservatory was safe because it formed part of the cottage, even though the glass enclosure had been added later. The boys shrugged when she asked about that one. They could pick the roses growing inside the conservatory, but not in the garden. The cottage was small, such a limited space for two such vital men. Maybe that’s why Elly was so determined to bring the outside to them. Later in the afternoon, she intended to take a detour to Phillipe’s family estate, now a luxury hotel, and take some photos on her phone. Perhaps she could find Anton’s house too, if it still existed. At least the grounds should still be there.

Elly planned the day, running scenarios through her head. Sally ran up grinning when she got out of the car. “What’s up with you?” Elly asked.

“I have a cure for your wet dreams.”

She regarded her friend warily. “What?”

“His name’s Joe.”

“Whose name?”

“Your electrical contractor. He’s here. Come in and meet him.”

Elly followed her inside with grudging footsteps. The Joe in question was good-looking with a mass of curly, dark-red hair and vibrant, green eyes. Handsome without a doubt, unless you’d been spending your days and nights with two Regency hunks.

“Hi,” he said, holding out his hand.
